Port of Dover Car Parking - FAQs
Can I book on the day?
We strongly advise all of our customers to pre-book car parking. Although parking may be available on the day it is not guaranteed. Cruise parking customers who have not pre-booked should, on arrival at the Cruise Port, advise staff that you wish to arrange for parking. You will be directed to the Car Parking office. (Please note that an additional charge will apply)
What benefits will I get from Pre-booking?
The main benefits are that you will have a guaranteed parking space and you will save money by receiving a discount when pre-booking. Pre-booking also means you will not need to worry about buying a ticket on the day as all pre-booked tickets will be sent direct to you.
How far in advance can I book?
Currently, we take bookings up to 18 months in advance. i.e. for car parking in January we will start taking bookings in June the previous year. We aim to get our following years prices online as soon as the first holiday operators brochures come out.
How secure are the Car Parks?
Our car parks have been awarded national Park Mark security status and regular security patrols of the parking areas take place. The Port of Dover benefits from a dedicated Police Force as well as a team of Traffic Wardens.
What are the charges for postage and packing?
Parking packs are delivered free of charge.
How long will it take for me to receive my parking pack?
Unless otherwise stated you should normally receive delivery within 5 working days, overseas customers should allow more time. Deliveries are made by the Royal Mail and do not have to be signed for.
What kind of payment methods can I use?
We accept online payment by Credit or Debit Card.
